Graham Moore, Chartered Financial Planner, tells us about a client who introduced his son and daughter to Lucas Fettes Financial Planning and how he has guided this family through their various financial journeys.
In Graham’s view, such long-lasting partnerships demonstrate how financial planning can guide clients throughout their various life stages, no matter their career path or objectives.
The case
An existing client referred his children, following his experiences of working with Lucas Fettes Financial Planning.
Our client’s son is the director of an engineering firm and is collaborating with our Employee Benefits team. Meanwhile, Graham met our client’s daughter 10 years ago and initially only encouraged her to keep her workplace pension going. Things changed when she left her employer three years ago and set up her own accountancy practice. This presented an opportunity for her to grow her wealth and pursue a new business venture.
After discussing her vision for the future, Graham established a personal Self Invested Personal Pension, to which she has made year-end additional contributions and plans to use to purchase her own commercial property. This was an aspiration that they had discussed some years ago and is about to become a reality through careful tax planning as part of her overall financial planning.
As we frequently collaborate with accountancy firms to provide well-rounded financial planning, she has also recommended her clients to seek Graham’s advice after her own experience.
Over decades, we have retained a beneficial relationship with the family and many others like them.
