Automatic enrolment legislation means that every employer, regardless of size, is required to automatically enrol certain workers into a qualifying pension scheme and contribute towards it.

Employers have been given a staging date based on the size of their workforce, and this is when your automatic enrolment duties commence.

Charitable organisations should be preparing for automatic enrolment now. Even if you already operate a pension scheme, you will still need to undertake some planning to prepare for your duties, and there are a number of things you need to consider before your staging date.
